It's College Game Week!!!
I LOVE this time of year...as summer comes to a close and autumn creeps around the corner... Shelly and I enjoyed our morning 3 mile run in cooler air this morning (it almost, almost made my ears hurt). Now, since I'm still an unemployed housewife today, I've got a crock pot of tortilla soup started and a harvest candle on a warmer. (It won't hold a flame so I'm getting all the smell out of it). I'm cleaning up after the couples shower we hosted for my brother, Craig and his fiance Rebecca on Saturday and of course still working to find a job. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the excitement of college football and Labor Day weekend coming up at the end of this week. I know Chris and I are ready for it and NFL now that we have our fantasy football teams lined up...it's our first time playing! Chris has headed off to Gaylord to check out their new greens today as he prepares for an event next week in Elgin, SC to get ready for Q school. Chris played well in the Carolina series event last week...finishing tied for 7th. Chris and I are both seeking God's guidance and purpose for his career and my job search, so please continue to pray for us. I have another interview tomorrow that we're trying hard not to get excited about...haha.

Capital Cities
After some much needed time off, Chris decided to play in the local Capital Cities tournament at MaCabe in Nashville. After two rounds he stands at -6, not sure where that places him amongst the pros but there should be a cut and re-shuffle so he should know tomorrow's tee time sometime this evening. He's enjoyed playing with 3 amateur guys that he knows from playing at Highland over the years. I have enjoyed the nice weather by walking the course and watching Chris play the last two days. A luxury I have because I am still job searching! Keep praying for me...I know the right thing is out there for me, now I'm just waiting for God to reveal his plan for my job and life. And so far today, it looks like I'm going to get to watch Chris play again tomorrow!
